Major General Paul Alaowei Toun is a retired military officer with career in the Army spanning over 32 years. He is a Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC), Fellow, Institute of Professional Financial Managers, UK (FIPFM) and also Fellow (FCNA), Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN). He also holds PGD in Banking and Finance, Executive Master in Business Administration (Management), Msc. in Strategic Studies and D.Litt. Defence Economics.
Major Gen. P.A. Toun commenced his career as a Military Officer with various appointments as:
Deputy Director Finance and Budget Defence Intelligence Agency, Assistant Director Army Finance and Accounts Lagos Garrison Command, Colonel Coordination HQ Nigerian Army Finance Corps, Assistant Director Army Finance and Accounts 3 Division, Chief Paymaster Nigerian Army Personnel Pay Office and Commander, Command Finance Office before he voluntarily retired as Director of Army Finance in 2006.
He has attended various courses both home and abroad between 1977 and 2004. Due to his astounding and excellent performance in the military, he has been accorded with honours and awards which includes; Corps Medal of Honour – (CMH), Meritorious Service Star (MSS), Forces Service Star (FSS), Distinguished Service Star (DSS), GSS – Grand Service Star and Pass Staff Course (dagger) – psc+
His unrelented effort and support towards humanity and the work of God also bestowed on him awards and acknowledgment like:
- Testimony and Honour in acknowledgment of devotion to the Almighty God by Evangel Pentecostal Church
- Certificate of Appreciation in Recognition of assistance and faithful commitment to Global Evangelistic Crusades by Abraham Evangelistic Ministries.
- Recognition Award for support in building the lives of teens and Youths by Solid Foundation Teens and Youth Ministry
- Karis Golden Celebration Appreciation Award etc.
